Current Position Available

Position: Substation Engineer

 

Description of Duties:

Under the supervision of Engineering Manager, the substation engineer position will include the following duties:

Electrical Design of substation and upgrade which may include UPS and Standby Power Design, security and fire alarm systems, overhead transmission lines, power plant retrofits and SCADA design installations.  Installation, wiring and functional testing.  Writing of performance requirements and development of maintenance schedules.  Solve operating problems and estimates the time and cost of engineering projects.   Operates computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.  Testing and commissioning of completed installations and observes operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.

 

Requirements:  5 years of experience in related occupation and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related.

This is a full time long term position.
